原來是一首法文歌。
1946年的某法國電影的主題曲Les Feuilles Mortes，
雖電影賣座不好，但主題曲哀愁滿溢，撩撥人心。
作曲者Joseph Kosma，來自匈牙利布達佩斯。
作詞者Jacques Prévert，法國最受歡迎的著名詩人兼劇作家。

C'est une chanson qui nous ressemble.

1950年，美國的音樂人Johnny Mercer將歌詞改寫成英文版，
《Autumn Leaves》從此成為情歌經典，多位歌手傳唱。
